Woodside Earns Bronze at OFSAA Championships

Jump Squad Athletics athlete Tyrique Woodside, representing Notre Dame College School, added another impressive achievement to his growing resume by capturing the bronze medal in the Junior Boys Long Jump at the OFSAA Track and Field Championships held last week in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Tyrique's jump of 6.62 metres secured him a spot on the podium against some of the province's top young athletes. This latest accomplishment adds to his collection of OFSAA medals, following his outstanding performance last year when he won the Novice Boys Long Jump Championship in Toronto in record-breaking fashion.

Tyrique has continued to demonstrate exceptional dedication, consistency, and growth throughout the season, establishing himself as one of Ontario's top developing long jumpers.

With the school season now complete, Tyrique will shift his focus to the summer track and field circuit. His goals include competing for an Athletics Ontario Championship and potentially earning an opportunity to participate in the Royal Canadian Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships later this summer.
